Foundation On-Site Training

To increase the confidence and productivity of your company's Foundation users and to get the most out of your Foundation Software, we now offer complete on site training.  Whether you are new to Foundation or a more advanced user, our trainers can provide you with the expertise, personal attention and support to help make your Foundation experience a positive one.



Foundation's Training Classes:

Foundation Fundamentals:

    If you are new to Foundation, the Fundamentals course gives you a thorough introduction.  You will learn planning, data collection and initial setup. You will be taught the basic elements of entering and editing data.  Moving around the Foundation screens.  Providing company information (Departments, Locations, Accommodations) as well as entering Room and Asset data.

Foundation Intermediate:

    In the Intermediate class you will learn to schedule, perform and verify moves.  Review the numerous built-in reports.  Create a phone book.  Import data into asset catalogs and rooms, and export data from your rooms.  Scan and view images of your assets.  Enter and transfer personnel from holding and much more

Foundation Advanced:

    In the Advanced class you will be trained in setting up a security scheme for your organization. Review the various Foundation pull down menus including the tools needed to keep your data organized and optimized.  You will also be introduced to the Drawing Viewer and the Foundation Web Site Server.

One Button Web  Site Server:

    For most facilities managers, just thinking about creating a successful facilities intranet  site can be overwhelming. The site needs to be maintained and the information needs to be updated daily.  Foundation's Web Site Server puts an end to your worries.  In just a short amount of time, you will have your corporate intranet facilities home page up and running.  As the information in your Foundation database is updated, so is your Foundation Web Site.

    This class will teach you everything you need to know to get your intranet running.  You will learn how to set up your Home page.  You will add Links and a Contacts page.  Other topics and pages covered include: Calendar of events, FAQ's pages, Service Requests, On ö line Phone and Room data, Conference Room scheduling and so much more.  At the end of this course, your site will be ready to go.

Conference Room Scheduling:

    Foundation s Conference Scheduler is a fully integrated add in to Foundation that combines all the resources of your Foundation database with a conference room scheduling package capable of handling meetings in hundreds of rooms at locations from around the block to around the world.

    In this class you will create your conference rooms and schedule meetings.  You will learn how to set up catering, attach food to your meeting and make sure the necessary AV equipment is available.  Other topics covered include: Creating users, passwords and groups; Searching for available rooms; Changing and duplicating meetings; Printing reports and more.

The Total Drawing Viewer:

    The Foundation Drawing Viewer allows you to view all types of CAD floor plans showing occupant data without using the CAD programs.  Using colored hatch patterns, you can view your company s departments, divisions, vacancies and so on. With the Drawing Viewer, your drawings are linked real time to your Foundation database.

    This class will show you how to prepare your AutoCad drawings for import into Foundation.  You will be taught how to verify your drawings and create rooms from your drawings.  Other area include: Creating a legend; The Tools and Options Menu; Batch update and hatch all your drawings at once.
