| Foundation is being used by some of the world's largest and most progressive enterprises. Here is just a sample of the projects managed by Foundation.
Merck & Co., "America's Most Admired Corporation" for seven years, used Foundation to manage the relocation of 2000 employees to a new headquarters designed by famous architect Kevin Roche. The project garnered unheard of 98% satisfaction rates from their employees because of an excellent communications web with Foundation at the core. The system's success convinced Merck to roll out Foundation to several east coast locations.
GTE, Inc., the global telecommunications company, is using Foundation in its Stamford, Connecticut headquarters, Not only is Foundation handling their facilities and relocation needs, but it is managing their entire internal telephone directory. High praise from a telecommunications titan.
Lucent Technologies started using Foundation in its Allentown location. After only a few months in use, they decided to start implementing Foundation in every one of their micro-electronics locations worldwide. They were especially dazzled by the conference room scheduling and Intranet access capabilities.
The Bank of Bermuda. With over fifteen locations, the Bank of Bermuda makes full use of Foundation's moving and space planning abilities. In 1990, Foundation was the only facilities management program running on Apple's Macintosh computer. When Merck & Co., Foundation's first major client, purchased the program, their immediate objective was to move two thousand employees into the new corporate headquarters at Whitehouse Station, New Jersey.
The move into the building, an architectural masterpiece designed by world-renowned architect Kevin Roche, was an unqualified success. The employees applauded the transition with a satisfaction rate of 98%. After the successful relocation, Merck, recognizing the value of the program, again collaborated to extend the scope of Foundation. Merck established a move desk within the facilities department and expanded the tracking of the assets to include the network software and hardware.
With two thousand moves per year, Merck has a churn rate of one hundred percent. Using Foundation, they set up moves in the future to organize the location of the personnel and departments for maximum efficiency. Every possible detail of the moves is set up in advance and examined in detail.
The move desk personnel have benefited tremendously from Foundation and in their enthusiasm, have used the ad-hoc custom report writer to generate over two dozen custom reports which allow them to execute all aspects of their moves with precision.

GTE Service Corporation
When GTE Worldwide Corporate Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut hired a facilities consultant team to recommend a software solution, it was no surprise that Foundation was the unanimous choice. After evaluating the competition including Archibus and Aperture, the team reported that Foundation was easier to set up, easier to maintain, less complicated to use, and more powerful and sophisticated in its use of technology.
Particularly enthusiastic about Foundation's cutting-edge philosophy, GTE is among the first to take advantage of the product's frequent upgrades.
Continuously relocating and remodeling, the facilities department at GTE uses Foundation for space planning. They use Foundation's Floor Plan Redlining feature and send the proposed floor plans to the architects who do the actual modification of construction documents. After remodeling or new construction is complete, the drawings come back to the facilities department ready to use with Foundation.
Particularly significant is the fact that the corporate headquarters of the world's third largest telephone company uses Foundation to track its telephone and data line information. By keeping the personnel and telecom changes current in Foundation, they automatically have available accurate information throughout their facility.
Foundation not only runs the phones for the phone company, but also allows the facilities managers to truly manage the facility.

Lucent Technologies
After the spin-off from AT&T, Lucent Technologies faced new challenges. Their facilities directors needed to gain control of their rapidly evolving personnel and real estate situation. After studying many computer-aided facilities management programs, they took the enthusiastic recommendation of Merck & Co. pharmaceuticals and chose Foundation.
Using their existing personnel, they were able to evaluate and plan their space and occupancy situation with a precision and efficiency that was simply not possible before Foundation. Lucent quickly and easily increased their building efficiency rate from eighty to ninety percent.
Since Lucent uses both AutoCAD and Microstation, they particularly enjoy Foundation's ability to work with any CAD program.
The Conference Scheduler allows hundreds of people book thousands of conferences and the information can be viewed worldwide on their corporate intranet.
The development of the One Button Web Site was in response to the Lucent Facilities Department's need to run their day to day operation via the corporate web.
At Lucent Microelectronics Group, the facilities director and his staff at the main office use the Worldwide Report Access Module to get real-time space usage reports and vacant seat availability from remote sites.
It was here that Foundation really developed its cutting-edge capabilities while maintaining it's ease of use. Lucent Technologies found that with Foundation, the most powerful technology available can be used effectively by computer novices.
